Beginner East Coast Swing class series

This five-session class series will cover the fundamentals of east coast swing, including both open and closed positions, single-step and triple-step variations, floor craft, dance etiquette, stealing, and a variety of fun moves to pull out on the dance floor!

Classes will meet at 7 PM on the following Thursdays: May 2, May 9, May 16, May 30, and June 6.

***Please note that there will be no class on May 23, as TangoHelena is booked for an art show that night.

All 5 sessions in advance is $80. At the door pricing is $20/class. We do not recommend dropping in for any class after the first two if you have never taken a swing dancing class before.

Jitterbug Stroll crash course

When you’re out at a swing social dance, there are a variety of swing line dances. We’re giving a one-night-only crash course on the Jitterbug Stroll on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 PM. It has the directions in the lyrics, so it’s pretty easy to pick up. Perfect for beginners. $20.
